Smile

s4

I don't smile a lot. Friends tell me that my default facial expression  looks as if the world owes me money. My various attempts of improving  my facial expression by ‘appearing’ to be perpetually smiling to myself came to no fruition. I still  look serious, fierce and sometimes grouchy. Since bb S’s arrival, I often wonder how could I have produced a baby who has one of the best and happiest smiles ? Not me indeed, but God.

She is a constant reminder for me to S.M.I.L.E more, especially on lousy days or during tough times.  She's 6 month old  yet teaching me invaluable lessons of life to take things easy...

Girls day out

While we were still pregnant, W and I agreed that we would spend a day together with our babies, relishing a leisurely afternoon high tea or lunch.. doing the cliché thing. The wish came through but it was nothing near ‘leisure’ when both babies decided to cry together. Our dining table was cluttered with wet wipes, bottles, pacifiers and teethers. We must have appeared ‘amateurish’to the other diners  and waitresses...

But it was a fun!! I'm sure we will be more ‘cool’ next rounds :)

Happy Thursday

Other than Friday, my next favourite day to take leave from work is on a Thursday – simply because returning to work on a Friday is not that bad. After all, weekend is just another 8 hours to go !

Today is Thursday and I’m off work. It’s also my 35th birthday…

I am 35. I’m half-way through my 30’s. 5 more years before I hit the big four ‘O’ !! I had conveniently lost count of my age since 30 until recently a friend 'reminded’ me that it’s my 35th birthday and I gotta take it serious. Pause. Think. Serious?? Neh…

M surprised me with a Miu Miu bag and I lurve it! Nothing beats talking about bags with your spouse – it’s nice to listen to his trips into Ferragamo, LV, Prada, YSL, elaborating what’s the latest style in store etc...He even used a jargon – “classic”. So now my husband knows what’s a classic colour, a classic design… I’m very proud :)

I’m 35. I’m happy. I’m not going to become ‘serious’. I’m contented because I have a Miu Miu bag.

JUST KIDDING!!

I’m contented. I have a husband who understands bag fashion.

JUST KIDDING (AGAIN!)

I’m contented. I have M and bb S!

Funny faces

Funny faces are cute for teens, fun-loving for people in their 20's, but may be perceived as aunty-trying-to-act-young for us who are in the 30's. We're not bothered though. Funny faces are like a tradition in our group shots through the years- birthdays, weddings, random outings, glam attire, casual, single, married... We post naturally with no questions asked when someone shouts "FUNNY FACES!".
I can imagine in our 40's and still doing funny faces, while our kids roll their eyes :"OMG, GMAB (Oh My God) (Give Me A Break), not again..."
