Easter is not about bunny, eggs, or chocolate.It’s about a man who was hung on a tree for the love of men 2000 years ago. And as he said “it is FINISHED!”, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. Three days later, he rose again. Easter is to celebrate his resurrection.
It is FINISHED = it’s all paid. All sins. Today’s, yesterday’s and tomorrow’s.
Often, the world thinks that one needs to “do good” to believe in him. And to be a believer, one ‘has to’ be ‘pure’, ‘nice’, with lots of rules to follow.
It’s a misconception.
If we must be ‘good’ to believe in him, then we don’t need him, we only need ‘us’. We believe in him because we are not perfect and by his death on the cross, we are made perfect in His eyes.
Happy Easter anyways and have a good break!
